Bio

I am a livelong resident of Newton. I was born at the Newton Wellesley Hospital and attended grammar school at the Lincoln-Eliot school. After Lincoln-Eliot I attended the F.A. Day junior high school for grades seven through nine. Newton North presented me with the unique opportunity to both participate in the culinary arts program offered through the technical vocational section of the school while taking college prep courses in the general education section of the school. During my high school years I was on the sailing team and held a job at the local McDonalds.

After graduating from Newton North I attended Johnson and Wales in Providence, R.I. were I received an associates degree in Culinary Arts and was asked to stay on as a teaching assistant and then a fellowship instructor. As part of this program I taught in the culinary arts program and received a full scholarship to work on my bachelors degree. I earned a bachelors of science degree in Foodservice Management and started working in the kitchen of a local hotel.

Twelve years later I took my bachelors degree and entered law school. Three years and a lot of reading later and I received my juris doctorate from New England School of Law. I sat for the bar exam and passed my first try. I am now a practicing attorney with a small practice in Newton. I also still work in the Hotel business as a night auditor. This job provides me with my health insurance.
